The Ministry of Health of Ukraine officially registered the medication Cosmegen, which is used for oncological diseases. The corresponding decision was approved by Order № 883. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.
“The drug was listed in the clinical protocols of treatment, but it was never registered in Ukraine. Our ministry cannot be the initiator of registration of this drug. Also, manufacturers were not interested in the release of "Cosmegen",” – the report said.
The drug was registered, as it was purchased during tenders and has an international verification and certification. It is noted that the registration of the medicinal product took place at the second attempt. The first attempt was rejected due to the lack of some information in the package of registration documents and materials.
It is reported that Cosmegen would be supplied to the country by the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine in the near future.
