A tragic story that struck the residents of Dobropolye had occurred in mid-March. A 23-year-old guy blew up a grenade in his own apartment. The young man died at scene, and his ex-wife who had been visiting him, was wounded.
Law enforcers established that the deceased had bought the explosive item from his acquaintance. During the investigation, the policemen managed to track down the seller. He was a 27-year-old resident of Dobropolye. As it turned out, he sold the grenade for 300 UAH. In addition, law enforcement officers found 240 rounds of AK-47 ammunition in the suspect’s house.
Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The suspect faces a maximum of 7 years imprisonment.
