The website of the Ministry of Social Policy published a new provision on the allocation of subsidies to public utilities.

The provision is new, as well as there is much new in it. These innovations will lead to the fact that tens of thousands of Ukrainians (the exact number has not yet been counted) can remain without this type of state aid. Especially when allocating subsidies for the next heating season. So, what's new there?

First of all, social norms were reduced. And now, for the heating of one square meter of the house and apartment, only 4.5 cubic meters of gas are allocated. An above-limit area can be increased no more than 30% of the living space (many beneficiaries were given a subsidy for the whole area).

Also, charges for officially unemployed citizens and non-registered on the books in the employment centers of citizens were changed.

If before that time their incomes were recognised in the amount of two subsistence minimums for able-bodied citizens (3,524 UAH), then now three such minimums will be counted, that is, 5,286 UAH. Indeed, the subsidy will not be allocated at all if the family lives in an apartment of more than 120 square meters. Or in the house over 200 square meters.

If the family uses a car that is less than five years old, the subsidy will not be allocated. This does not apply only to cars issued by social protection agencies.

The document provides for other changes, in particular, for settlers and landlords. The provision was adopted on April 28, entered into force on May 1, but there is still no mechanism for introducing these innovations on the ground (in social services offices). As soon as they appear, we'll talk about them in more detail.
