Recently, crypto currencies have been actively used to implement corrupt schemes in Ukraine. Yuriy Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, told about it during the debates at the UN General Assembly.

“Today, criminals are trying to hide their corrupt practices, using ingenious international schemes. They involve hundreds of companies and bank accounts. Globalization keeps apace with organized crime. While law enforcement agencies for months or even years waiting for the discovery of information on banking operations, corrupt officials use crypto currency,” – Lutsenko said.

Earlier, Lutsenko said that during the past year 1,700 sentences on corruption cases had been passed.

“We have about $ 2 billion of funds and real estate returned from corrupt clans, we have closed huge embezzlement schemes about $ 6-7 billion annually, and this is assessed by our colleagues,” – Yuriy Lutsenko says.

We recall that on March 1, the deputies in the Verkhovna Rada supported bill № 7440 on the Anti-Corruption Court.
