In Ukraine, it is proposed to introduce a transparent excise tax system for cars, depending on the age and engine capacity of a car.
That was reported by Nina Yuzhanina, the People's Deputy and the chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy.
It is noted that an absolutely transparent system for determining the excise tax is now proposed.
“The base rate for cars on gasoline engines is 50 euros, on diesel engines is 75 euro per thousand cubic centimeters. Two coefficients, engine capacity and age; it is very simple to calculate them. If the car is 2 thousand cubic centimeters, then the base rate will be 150 multiplied by 2. Next, see if the car is 10 years old, it turns out 100 multiplied by 10, 1000 euro excise, 15 years – 1500 euro excise, etc. There are no incomprehensible fluctuations in the rate of excise tax, which are now incorporated in the Tax Code,” – Yuzhanina said.
Earlier it was reported that the Specialized Committee of the Verkhovna Rada had been preparing a bill on the introduction of compulsory inspection for cars from 2020.
