On this Wednesday, on the fourteenth of February, residents of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Rodinsky and Shevchenko village will be able to congratulate each other not only on Valentine's Day, but also on celebrating the merry Maslenitsa festival.
At one o'clock in the afternoon the festive program will begin simultaneously in two cities. Traditionally in Pokrovsk it is the Shybankova square and the stage on the porch of the Donetsk National Technical University. In Rodinsky guests are waited on the site at the health and fitness center.
As always, trade in dishes of national cuisine and the symbol of Maslenitsa – pancakes, will take place in the tents for the participants of the holiday. In addition to pancakes, free tea from a big samovar is expected.
People will be cheered up by the local artistic groups. The program also includes contests, games and sports competitions. Thematic photo areas will be open for photo enthusiasts. At the end of the festival, there will be fire and round dance. Active participants of the entertainment program will receive valuable prizes and souvenirs.
