Reconstruction of the central square of Slavyansk is postponed to the next year. Such information was voiced by Vadim Lyah, the mayor of Slavyansk, at the press conference.
According to him, everything that depended on the local authorities was made by the city, but this year Slavyansk will not receive money to carry out the works. Pavel Zhebrivsky, the chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, in his turn, announced that the works on the reconstruction of the areas in Slavyansk, as well as in Mariupol, would start next year. Until the end of this year, the region plans to complete work on the squares of Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka.
We recall that the reconstruction of the Sobornaya Square in Slavyansk will be carried out as part of the implementation of the Program for Economic and Social Development of Slavyansk, the Plan of Measures for the Implementation of the Strategy for the Development of the Donetsk Region until 2020. This plan provides for a number of measures in 2017-2019, in order to create a modern, unique, original, comfortable public space for key areas of settlements in the Donetsk region, in particular their central squares, preservation and development of the historical, cultural and spiritual heritage.
