Over the past day and night on May 17, illegal military groups opened fire 66 times on the Donbass. Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and four others were injured.
This was reported by the press center of the Operation of the United forces on Facebook.
It is noted that thanks to active defense, Ukrainian units liquidated five militants, eight more were wounded.
The militants also fired shells by mortar launchers and Grad systems in the Novozvanovka and Troitskoe areas (the Lugansk Region), Lugansk, Svetlodarsk, Novolugansk, Majorsk, Avdeevka, Opytny, Vodyanoy, Lebedinsky and Shirokino (the Donetsk Region).
In turn, the representation of the so-called “DNR” in the Joint Center on Control and Coordination (JCCC) of the ceasefire regime reported that over the past day, Ukrainian armed formations had fired the area of the Donetsk filtering station using mortar launchers and MRLS 'Grad'.
