A young woman wanted to buy a phone on the ads site, but faced the Internet scams. As a result, the resident of Druzhkovka was left without a purchase and almost 5 thousand UAH.
According to the Police Department of Druzhkovka, the victim appealed to law enforcement officers with a statement about fraud. It turned out that a 31-year-old woman had wanted to buy a modern gadget. The customer found the offer for phone sale at the most attractive price on one of the well-known sites.
During the conversation with the seller, the trustful resident of Druzhkovka did not insist on paying cash on delivery, and agreed to prepay. As a result, the woman transferred 4800 UAH into the seller's account. A few days later, the customer still did not receive the phone. The fraudster stopped responding to calls and deleted the ad from the site.
Law enforcers conduct an audit of this offense and urge citizens to be watchful in online shopping.
