In Slavyansk, the project for the reconstruction of two hostels in housing for settlers was closed. The oney for this project was allocated by the European Union as far back as in 2014.
The court recovered 94 thousand UAH from the contractor who performed the work.
According to Vadim Lyah, the mayor of Slavyansk, about 1 million UAH were spent out of the funds allocated by the European Union, during the entire period of the project's implementation. The rest of the money (the total amount of financing was 800 thousand euros) remained on specially created accounts. The money recovered by the court will be also returned there.
In the next two months there will be legal proceedings on the second object of reconstruction. The amount claimed is 100 thousand UAH. Currently, an audit is being carried out, which the company from Kharkov is engaged in. Money for audit was laid in the project initially.
The European Union will decide what to do with the funds remaining in the accounts.
