The first thematic film screening on the basis of the creative space FreeUA was held in Kramatorsk. It was organized by Dmitry Kononov, the local young director.
The first movie, which the organizers decided to show Kramatorsk, was the movie of the Ukrainian director Oles Sanin “The Guide”. An incredibly complex and profound movie made viewers think about many issues and plunge into the historical events of the Holodomor period.
Dmitry Kononov told the audience interesting facts about the movie and its filming before the projection. After the joint viewing, the audience could discuss the movie and reflect on the question whether there is a future for Ukrainian cinema.
Such free screenings are planned to be organized regularly. Already next Saturday, the residents of the city are offered to gather again in the walls of the Free UA to enjoy a joint viewing and discussion of the next movie. Anyone can join the event. The beginning is planned for 19:00.
