Ukrainian consuls abroad work 24 hours a day to quickly issue visas to foreigners who travel to Ukraine for the final matches of the Champions League.
Sergei Pogoreltsev, the Heah of the Department of Consular Service, told about this to Ukrainskaya Pravda.
“Also visa documents are issued upon arrival at the international airports “Boryspil”, “Zhulyany”and “Odessa”. There, the consuls closely cooperate with border guards and relevant airport services,” – Pogoreltsev said.
He noted that over the last few days more than 3 thousand visas had been issued to foreigners at Ukrainian embassies abroad.
Also, Pogoreltsev added that more than 2 thousand visas and 800 electronic documents were recently issued at airports on arrival.
According to him, tens of thousands of fans have already arrived in Ukraine.
In addition, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that a working group was created under the Directorate of the National Police in Kiev in order to resolve emergency, operational issues that may arise during the Champions League. The group includes representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
