The Public Health Center at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports on the overall decline in flu cases in the country, RBC-UKRAINE reports.
“For every 100,000 people there are 550.5 cases of flu and ARVI (acute respiratory viral infection). This is less than the established epidemic threshold in Ukraine and means that the disease is in retreat.” – the Center reported.
Nevertheless, it is noted that the epidemic threshold is still exceeded in three regions of the country. In Zhytomyr, Zakarpatye and Volyn regions there is a great number of patients with influenza.
The Center provided statistics for the last week. During the period from March 5 to 11, more than 200 thousand Ukrainians became ill with flu and ARVI.
Together with flu, measles is in retreat. The Public Health Center reports a decrease in the number of patients throughout Ukraine by 10%.
