The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that from March 5 to 11, the number of patients suffering from measles has decreased by 10%, “Korrespondent” reports.
The Center of Public Health, which is at the Ministry, notes that compared to past indicators, the difference was more than 600 people. Today, during the first two months of this year, there are 7069 cases of disease (more than 70% of children).
The leader in the number of cases is Western Ukraine, namely Ivano-Frankivsk region (1566 cases), Zakarpattia region (1297 people). There were 1063 cases of measles disease in the Odessa region. The smallest number of patients in Sumy (5 people) and Lugansk (4 people) regions.
According to the World Health Organization, in 2017 Ukraine took the third place in the number of patients suffering from measles.
