Today, about fifty miners gathered beneath the walls of the Cabinet and demand debt repayment of wages.
This was written on Facebook by Mikhail Volynets, the chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine (ITUM).
The main requirement of miners is the debt repayment of wages. Men arranged sit-ins, they are knocking with helmets on the asphalt and chanting “Salary!”
“The miners from all over Ukraine came to Kiev. We gathered beneath the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. A critical situation has developed in the state coal sector. Debt on wages to miners of state coal producers is 761.1 million UAH.” – Volynets wrote.
We recall that yesterday, on June 19, the miners from all over Ukraine gathered beneath the walls of the Verkhovna Rada. Several hundred people went to the meeting demanding to save coal-mining industry.
