The first tragic incident happened in Seversk on May 19 at 18:50. Here the body of a drowned man was found. The help of rescuers was needed to get it out of the river.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, the fighter of the 8th State Fire and Rescue Unit pulled the man's body ashore with the help of a boat-hook, dragged him out of the water and handed him over to the National Police for operational and investigative actions.
On the same day at 19:45 Rescue Service 101 received information about the accident on the water near the village of Velikaya Novoselka in the Donetsk region. Here, the body of a drowned woman was found. The rescuers were also needed to pull the drowned woman ashore.
Staff of the 81st State Fire and Rescue Unit arrived on the scene. And just as in the first case, they dragged the body out of the water with the help of a boat-hook. Further, investigators and criminalists are already working. They are to find out under what circumstances the tragedy occurred.
In total, 7 personnel and 2 units of equipment were involved from the Main Directorate.
