Water continues to take the lives of our fellow citizens. Moreover, the number of accidents is constantly growing. Somebody drowns in the water bodies of the region almost daily.
According to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, yesterday, on May 31 at 4:00 pm, the dispatcher of the rescue service “101” received an alarming report. A vacationist drowned on Bezdonoye Lake in Svyatogorsk. A man born in 1961 went swimming and did not return back. It was impossible to save him by those who were at that time on the shore.
His body was taken from the water by local residents.
Exactly two hours later on the same day, a similar tragedy occurred on a pond in the village of Zelenoe of Pokrovsky district.
The employees of the 9th State Fire and Rescue Detachment arrived at the scene, seized the drowned body from the water on the shore and handed it over to the National Police for operational and investigative actions.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the main cause of deaths on the water is open disregard for safety rules. In general, citizens go to swim in a state of intoxication. And this is a great risk to lose a life.
