Due to the disconnection of fiber optic cable today, on July 9, the connection of the Ukrainian mobile operator Vodafone disappeared in the uncontrolled territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. That was stated in the press service of Vodafone Ukraine.
“We are clarifying the details of where it happened. If it happened in the territory under Ukraine's control, the repair work will start faster,” – the press service reported.
In addition, the so-called Ministry of Communications of the DNR also commented on the situation, adding that the line's damage occurred, probably, in the territory under Ukraine's control.
In social networks, residents of the region confirm the disconnect of Vodafone and report a malfunction of the local operator “Phoenix” because of the increased load on it due to the inaccessibility of Vodafone.
