This year, Ukrainians are invited to participate in the environmental project Earth Hour for the tenth time. The world campaign began in 2007 under this name. This is the world's largest conservation movement, established by the World Wildlife Fund.
Today, the ecological project involves 7,000 cities and settlements from 187 countries. The Ukrainians supported such an initiative in 2009 for the first time. What’s the point? The point is that on Saturday, March 24, all Ukrainians are suggested to turn off the lights at 20:30. And do not turn it on until 21:30.
This coordination of actions, as the organizers of the action believe, unites the people of the whole earth to preserve the nature of our planet. This is done through the rational use of natural resources and the achievement of harmony with nature.
In addition, this will allow energy consumers to save; because social norms were reduced for most Ukrainians since the new year.
