Hockey sports are the future of Ukraine. A large number of Ukrainian athletes play in famous foreign clubs, so this sport needs to be developed, the president of HC Donbass is sure.
Recently, Borys Kolesnikov visited the training session of hockey players from Vinnytsia; he presented the children's team with modern sticks, and agreed with the president of the regional hockey federation that the Donbass club and another team would hold competitions in Vinnytsia. What exactly will be negotiated – is still unknown.
“The fact that hockey needs to be developed is not negotiable at all. Local councils should help parents. Hockey is a very expensive sport. Ice costs a lot of money, equipment, work of a coach, so if local councils take on some of the costs, I think no one will get poorer,” –Kolesnikov Borys concluded.
