Ukraine and Norway are preparing to build a complex of wind power plants with a total capacity of 250 MW. The complex is planned to be built on the territory of the Kherson region. Vyacheslav Yatsyuk, the Ambassador of Ukraine in Norway, announced his intention to realize the ambitious project. He met with the CEO of NBT, Juar Wicken.

This is reported by Novoye vremya.

The whole project is divided into several stages. The first of them provides for the construction of about 70 wind-driven electrical plants, which in total will produce 250 MW. After the construction of the complex, all the generated electricity will be supplied to the joint system of Ukrenergo. The energy that this complex will produce will be enough to provide about 50 thousand households.

It is noted that foreign investors will allocate more than 370 million euros for the implementation of the project. In addition to foreign companies, local Ukrainian companies will also be involved in the project.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Norway added that before the end of 2018, the Scatec Solar Company will start its investment activity. The plans of this company are the creation of several solar power plants with a total capacity of 500 MW. Foreign investments related to these projects amount to about 500 million euros.
