Since the beginning of the year, the Police of the Donetsk region have seized various drugs worth more than one million UAH, and this is three times more than a year ago.
In total, this year law enforcement officers discovered 156 facts of drug trafficking. At the beginning of the year, a group of drug dealers was exposed, who had been creating a pharmacy branch for the legal sale of drugs. After that case, a man was detained, who had transported amphetamine to Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Also, the outlet for methadone was blocked in Konstantinovka, and 16 kilograms of marijuana were found in the underground store of Mariupol.
Since July, the operation “Mak” (transl. poppy flower) has continued in the region, which made it possible to find and eliminate 150 crops of cannabis and poppies. 35 kg of cannabis, 11 kg of poppy seeds, opium, amphetamine and heroin were withdrawn from illegal circulation. In total, the police withdrew such things from circulation worth more than a million UAH.
In addition, 70 drug dens were liquidated, and law enforcement officers found more than a thousand facts of storage and transportation of narcotic drugs.
