A group of violators engaged in illegal coal mining was exposed in the area of ​​the Operation of the United forces in the Mariinka district of the Donetsk region.

That was reported today by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The operational subdivisions of the Donetsk-Lugansk border guard detachment received information on violation of the rules for the protection and use of mineral resources yesterday, June 14.

It is reported that during the processing of the received data in the area of village of Ilyinka, Mariinka district, five Ukrainian citizens engaged in coal mining with the help of heavy equipment, were detained.

“A diesel generator, a mining hammer, an excavator and about 50 tons of coal ready for loading were identified at the scene,” – the report said.

The notice was sent to the Police of Mariinka. The notice is on the grounds of committing a crime under Art. 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of rules for protection of mineral resources”.
