Two people died of complications from flu over the past day in Chernigiv: a man and a pregnant woman. This is reported by UNIAN, referring to the data of the Health Department of the City Council of Chernigiv.
According to published data, a 52-year-old man died in the department of the city hospital No. 3 on January 8. He asked for medical help too late. A week before, he had tried to cope with the complications of the disease on his own. According to laboratory analysis, the patient had influenza type A (H1N1).
A pregnant woman in serious condition was first taken to the maternity hospital of Chernigiv, and then she was sent to the regional hospital, where she died on January 8.
According to the Regional Laboratory Center of Chernigiv of the Ministry of Healthcare, during the first week of the year, 2364 cases of influenza and ARVI were recorded in Chernigiv. Among the cases there are 1456 children. Thus, the incidence rate is below the epidemiological threshold by 15.8%.
