The Ukrainian government has agreed with the IMF to gradually raise the gas price to the level of CIF parity until 2020.

This was reported on Tuesday, September 18, by Andrey Kobolev, the head of Naftogaz, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“There is a preliminary compromise, which the government has reached. The pace is now being discussed,” – he said at the forum of the European Business Association in Kiev.

According to the head of Naftogaz, the issue of gas prices is a key component of ongoing negotiations in Kiev with the IMF mission.

As you know, on August 23, the Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman stated that Ukraine recognized its obligations to raise gas prices. According to him, the price increase, which is now set at 6.9 UAH per 1 m3, is necessary to attract financing in international markets.

Earlier we reported that the Ministry of Energy had confirmed the nearest rise in gas price for the population.
