The Lugansk TPP partially switched to the use of coal, the batch of which was delivered from the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. This has reduced natural gas consumption by 30 percent.
It was reported by Korrespondent.
DTEK, which controls the power plant, noted that despite the resumption of anthracite supplies, it is currently not enough to completely eliminate the use of gas.
“To ensure stable and trouble-free operation of the northern part of the power system of the Lugansk region, there are 2 power units in operation,” - the company’s representatives added.
We recall that the Lugansk TPP switched to the use of natural gas on November 6, 2018. This was caused by the blocking of coal by the Russian Federation by rail.
