Public organization "East Wind" from Dobropolye won the mountain Elbrus’s top. The tourists devoted their ascent to the 65th anniversary of their native city.
The summit ascent of the mountains for the "East Wind" has become a real tradition. There is not only one ascent in the treasury of climbers. This year, an expedition of nine volunteers traveled to the Caucasus to win the highest top of Europe – Elbrus.
The expedition to the mountains lasted two weeks. During this time, the tourists had acclimatized themselves and prepared for an important event – the ascent to Elbrus, which lasted four days.
“I won Elbrus’s top for the first time. Before that I was at Goverla’s top twice and once on Petros’s one, – the participant of the expedition Evgeniy Snegurov shares his impressions. – The more difficult the route, the more interesting it is to go to the mountains, because such a trip is always a test for strength. It is easy to lose control over yourself in extreme condition, a tourist can get sick by the so-called altitude sickness, therefore it is necessary to go to the mountains only in a good mood.
For reference: the height of Elbrus is 5642 meters above sea level, the mountain is the highest top of Europe and is included in the list of the highest peaks of the world called “Seven Peaks”. Elbrus is popular with athletes, tourists and climbers.
