Ukrainian rescuers-divers conduct training for Thai divers, ua.news reports.
It is reported that volunteers from all over the world are going to Thailand to help rescue children from the flooded cave where they have been staying for two weeks. Elon Musk also offered his assistance.
As you know, on June 23 in the north of Thailand a group of 12 teenagers with a coach were blocked in a flooded cave due to a sharp rise in water level. The number of participants in the rescue operation has since reached nearly a thousand people. During the delivery of oxygen cylinders to children, the officer of the Thai Navy died, who did not have enough oxygen for the return.
Rescuers came to the conclusion that, perhaps, children will have to learn the basics of diving so that they can overcome the flooded section of the dungeon. For this purpose, two cave divers from Ukraine arrived in Thailand. They’re teaching Thai rescuers to dive in difficult cave conditions.
The founder of SpaceX and Tesla, Musk, sent his engineers to the country to size up the situation. These engineers have to bring powerful batteries of Tesla Motors for bailing pumps. Musk also suggested using a nylon tube filled with air to create an “underwater tunnel” for moving children with the coach from the cave.
