The deputies of Bakhmut will vote on closing two cemeteries, during the regular session of the city council. The draft decision is posted on the official website of the city administration.

After the commission inspection of the cemeteries, the Department for Urban Development and Capital Construction concluded that it was no longer possible to bury in cemeteries located along the Morskaya Street and Rostovskaya Street, due to the lack of free places for graves. During the regular session, the deputies will decide whether to stop the burial there. The assumed date of the ban is the 1st of July, 2018.

The cemeteries will not be eliminated, but the residents of Bakhmut will not be able to bury their relatives there.

The draft states that cemeteries along the Mariupol Street and Silicatnaya Street, as well as in the villages of Stupki and Ivanovo, ans the village of Krasnaya Gora remain open for burial.
