Over the past day, 46 shootings of Ukrainian positions were recorded, including 10 times from heavy weapons, 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed, and 3 were wounded.
This was announced today, August 15, by the staff of the JFO.
The militants fired aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in separate directions – from the infantry fighting vehicle armament. The use of artillery of 152 mm and 122 mm calibers and mortars was also noted. Shooting was carried out in the areas of the Krymskoe, Troitskoe, Zolotoe, Svetlodarsk, Mayorsk, Zaitsevo, Krasnogorovka, Opytnoe, Mariinka, Peski, Novotroitskoe, Chermalyk, Gnutovo, Lebedinskoe, Pavlopol, Vodianoe and Shirokino. Along with this, the opposing side fired Ukrainian positions of the JFO from bombardment artillery of 152 mm caliber near Krymskoe, and from artillery of 122 mm caliber – the positions near Gnutovo, Vodianoe and Shirokino. The positions of the Joint Forces were under fire from the mortars near Krymskoe, Mayorsk, Zaitsevo, Chermalyk, Lebedinskoe and Vodianoe.
During the current day, the militants opened fire twice against Ukrainian positions in the areas of Novozvanovka and Mariinka.
In turn, the so-called DNR reported that “due to bombardments on August 14 at 8:50 PM numerous shrapnel damages of the gas distribution pipeline in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk on the Udachnaya Street were registered. The gas supply to 88 houses of the private sector and 17 apartment buildings was temporarily stopped in order to localize the accident. In total, 162 consumers were left without gas”.
The so-called LNR approve, that “the Kiev forces 2 times for a day have shelled positions of the LNR. The district of the urban settlement Frunze was under fire. The shelling was fired from mortars of 120 mm and 82 mm calibers, weapons of the infantry fighting vehicle armament and anti-tank grenade launchers”.
