Over the past day, 30 shellings of Ukrainian positions were recorded, including 4 times from heavy weapons, 3 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded.
This was reported today, on August 7, by the staff of the JFO.
The militants fired aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in separate directions – from the infantry fighting vehicle armament. Shooting was carried out in the areas of the Krymskoe, Luganskoe, Novoluganskoe, Pivdennoe, Novgorodskoye, Mariinka, Avdeevka, Krasnogorovka, Chermalyk, Gnutovo, Lebedinskoe, Pavlopol, Vodianoe and Shirokino. Along with this, the opposing side fired Ukrainian positions from Novoluganskoe and Lebedinskoe from mortars of 120 and 82 mm calibres. The Joint Forces were exposed to fire near Avdeyevka from mortars of 120 and 82 mm calibres. Also, the opposing side used a 120-mm mortar against the position of the Joint Forces near Gnutovo.
During the current day the militants opened fire 7 times against positions of the Joint Forces near the Krymskoe, Malinovoe, Novozvanovka, Troitskoe, Lebedinskoe and Shirokino. Heavy weapons were not used.
In turn, DNR reported that “the Ukrainian army at night fired the village of Golmovskoe in the north of Gorlovka. As a result, the building of the village council and 3 houses were damaged. The shelling was conducted from anti-aircraft installations of 23 mm caliber”.
LNR approve that “the Kiev forces 2 times for a day have shelled positions of the LNR. The areas of Sokolniki and Lozovoye villages were shelled. The shelling was fired from mortars of 82 mm caliber, anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms”.
