The total amount of subsidies to compensate household expenses for housing and utility services in Ukraine in January-July 2018 amounted to 734 million UAH, which is 4.2 times (or 2.3 billion UAH) lower than in January-July 2017 of the year.
This is reported by the State Statistics Service on the website of the department.
According to the specified data, the indicators are given without taking into account the annexed territory of the Crimea, Sevastopol and some of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions that are not controlled by Ukraine.
According to State Statistics Service, since the beginning of this year, subsidies have been allocated to 2 million 667 thousand households, which is 54.9% less than in the same period in 2017.
Also, the average size of the subsidy to compensate for the costs of housing services for one family in July fell by 28.8% compared to July last year and amounted to 103.9 UAH.
In addition, according to the department, subsidies for housing and utility services were received by 2 million 182.6 thousand households in July, which is 35.6% more than in June.
