Ulyana Suprun, the Acting Minister of Healthcare, told Ukrainians how to safely behave during a bad weather: in thunderstorm, in rain or hail. The note about this appeared on her page on Facebook.
“The streets of some areas of the city are more like real rivers. Just in case, I'll recall the safety rules if you face a bad weather,” – Suprun wrote.
The Acting Minister of Healthcare gave several important recommendations:
- Do not leave the building unless necessary. If you cannot stay at home, then immediately and fully charge a laptop, tablet and, most importantly, a mobile phone.
- Do not go to places where water flows. It looks safe enough, but it can be deep under water or there may be dangerous foreign objects.
- If you are in an outdoor space during a lightning storm, do not use a mobile phone. The exception is when you need to call for help.
- Do not stand outside under tall trees.
- Watch weather forecasts.
