The Road Service of the Donetsk region told when the road would be opened for traffic.
The contract organization Slavdorstroy started the major repair of the Pokrovsk-Bakhmut-Mikhailovka roads of national standing, on the Konstantinovka-Mirnograd section, as far back as in the spring.
The plans were grandiose – to restore 17 km of the road, using a new technology and involving the American technology Impactor 3000H. The budget allocated from the special fund of the regional budget was an impressive – more than 300 million UAH. However, it was impossible to implement those ideas.
After some time it turned out that some areas cannot be restored using the technology provided in the project. The traffic was blocked, and the work was suspended for an indefinite period…
The drivers were offered a detour through the villages, but many of them, knowing that there was a bad road, preferred the way through the fields. Clouds of smoke, constant ascents and descents – hundreds of meters of field road resembled a rally. Therefore, the mass discontent of drivers is understandable. Like the indignation of the villagers who complained: “The sharply increased flow of vehicles will completely break the last road”.
And recently the equipment again appeared on a long-suffering highway, and together with it there is the hope that the road will be finally restored.
