Turkey is preparing to settle in national currency with its largest trading partners, including Ukraine, China, Russia and Iran. This is reported by the Turkish edition “Anadolu”, referring to the words of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the country.
Erdogan said that his country was ready to help European states that want to “remove the shackles of dollar”, and switch to similar calculations in trade with them.
The Turkish president also noted that his country did not accept such world order, in which the world declared an economic war, and the individual countries are put pressure by their opponents by imposing sanctions.
“Those who are trying to settle scores with Turkey and strike below the belt should remember that there is not a single politician and no country in the world that would have achieved success by pursuing a hostile policy towards Ankara ... Nothing will force Turkey to abandon its goals in the economy, to back down from the fight against terrorism,” – Erdoğan said.
