The compulsory professional development training for professional drivers is going to be introduced in Ukraine, autonews.ua reports.
This means that every 5 years Ukrainian drivers will have to attend compulsory periodic training courses. This innovation is provided by one of the points of the association agreement with the European Union and is necessary for the introduction of the EU standards in the field of transport.
During the re-training, drivers will increase their level of knowledge necessary to ensure safety on the road. It is also known that it will not be necessary to pass exams at the end of the courses.
The publication says that regulations on the periodic training of professional drivers of transport and freight traffic have already been introduced in Ukraine. At the end of this process, professional drivers who do not have a special certificate of completion of periodic training courses will not be allowed to work.
