Specialists from the Yuzhnoye Design Office suggest starting construction of a base on the Moon. According to experts, such a base can open an era of flights to other planets.
This was discussed in Dnieper at a meeting of American astronaut Randolph Bresnik and Gennady Osinov, who had represented the Yuzhnoye Design Office.
The given project, according to experts, will make it possible to develop rapidly technologies and new systems of aircraft, communications equipment, management and life support systems. The base on the Moon is, of course, difficult and expensive. Therefore, it can be built exclusively by joint efforts of different countries and companies. Thus, the work must be funded by governments of several countries at once. If the project is implemented successfully, then we are waiting for an intellectual and technological breakthrough. This can be compared with the discovery of the New World or seafaring to other continents.
The base will be created in five stages: preliminary, minimal configuration, expansion of the base to its working volume, creation of systems of autonomous self-sustainment of personnel on it and transition to a permanent object on the Moon.
This is not the only ambitious space project. Next year, the mobile communication from Vodafone can appear on the Moon.
