Communities of the Donetsk region received land in communal ownership.
All nine communities of the Donetsk region, which were formed before 2018, received land from the state into communal ownership. In December, the land outside the settlements was transferred to the last two JTCs – the Limanskaya and Severskaya city communities.
The process of transferring land to the property to the joint territorial communities began on February 1, 2018. In January, the Cabinet of Ministers passed an order to transfer agricultural land from state ownership to JTC’s ownership. There was no clear understanding of how to do this either in the state land registry or in the most joint communities. Only later the mechanisms begin to be outlined, and the proposed timetable for the transfer was respected.
“The first in the Donetsk region land was received by the Shakhovskaya rural JTC,” – Artem Kolodezny, the advisor on the regional development of the Donetsk Center for Local Self-Government Development, reminded. – “Afterwards, the rest was transferred to the remained communities. The last were the Severskaya and Limanskaya communities. From now on, the land plots with a total area of 8.2 thousand hectares located outside the settlements in the territory of the Liman district have been transferred to the Limanskaya city JTC. The land plots with a total area of almost 3 thousand hectares located outside the settlements in the territory of the Bakhmut District have been transferred to the Severskaya JTC.
