▪ We have not only high prices for utility services. Utilities are also counted as much as the authorities want. In our society, unfortunately, all is established in that way, that the person does not receive the real bill for what he/she consumed. It is calculated on the average for the house, on average for the district. This opens a large-scale field for fraud.
▪ The metallurgical industry in Ukraine is not automated. Taking into account the world experience, POSCO Company is capable of producing 18 million tons of steel per year with a staff of 6,000 metallurgists. That is, for each worker there are 3 thousand tons of steel. And, accordingly, the salary is higher than in Ukraine many times. In our country there is not a single plant where the labour productivity would equal even 1 thousand tons of steel per worker per year. A lot of money is needed to modernize the metallurgical industry.
▪ Subsidies exist all over the world and the low-income families do receive it. But it is normal practice, when subsidies are 10-15%, not 60-70, as we have in our country. In civilized countries, a pension is always about half the average salary in a country. With such a pension, subsidizing is needed, but not so much.
