13 million UAH was allocated from the local budget for the repair of roads in Druzhkovka.
The problem of the unsatisfactory condition of roads in Ukraine is relevant for each city. Druzhkovka is also no exception. Together with the snow cover, the road surface was also partially collapsed.
According to the city hall, thorough overhaul of roads in Druzhkovka requires more than 550 million UAH. This amount makes up a large part of the entire budget and is unaffordable for the city, local officials say.
In 2019, 13 million UAH was allocated for repairs from the city treasury.
According to the above estimates, it is possible to do a major overhaul on 1-2 streets using this money. But since most of the Druzhkovka’s roads had cracks, potholes and other damage, the allocated 13 million will be sent to carry out general servicing. Last year, a little less was spent on restoring the road surface in Druzhkovka – 11 million UAH.
Also, the city hall noted that the deterioration of the road surface of urban roads is 90%. Most of them have been built for almost 70 years, and during this time a single major overhaul have not been carried out.
It is hoped that regular road repairs will be able to cover all problem areas and make the city more comfortable for the residents.
