At the latest session of the city council, the deputies adopted the Medical Development Program in Pokrovsk, which is aimed at ensuring the provision of quality health care to the population and is designed for two years.
Medical assistance to the population of the cities of Pokrovsk, Rodinskoye and Shevchenko is provided by five medical institutions. One of them is the first level, the rest is the second one. The analysis revealed that the city's healthcare system does not fully meet the population's need for affordable, high-quality and effective medical care.
The new program offers to group problems in three directions, indicating the ways of solution. To date, medicine in the city lacks staffing, as well as a lack of financial resources. Also, it requires improving the material and technical basis.
