After it became known about the attack on the agitational tents of the presidential candidate of Ukraine from the Opposition Bloc Alexander Vilkul in Nikolaev, and that the woman had a broken leg as a result of the attack, Alexander Vilkul immediately contacted the victim.
He talked with her husband Valery Nikolayevich on the phone. Currently, Elena, who suffered as a result of the attack of the radicals, is in hospital. She has an open fracture of leg, she will have a long treatment.
In the air of the TV channel "Ukraine" Alexander Vilkul said that he was ready to fight against the position in society, which had been created by the current government.
“From the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, I told in detail about all the falsification mechanisms that this power would use, and said that they were ready to go to the end. It took only a few hours – and our worst fears came true. In Nikolayev, in the Zavodskoy district, several villains in balaclava attacked my supporters, cut tents with knives and broke a woman’s leg.
Dear Ukrainians, I would like to address you now. I am ready to go and fight to the end. Fight for you. Fight for us. Fight for a peaceful good normal Ukraine. Otherwise, there will be radicals. Otherwise, there will be fear. The authorities are ready not only to steal your voice – they are ready to break heads, they are ready to break legs, they are ready to break anything – just to stay in power.
Dear friends, let's fight together. I am confident that peaceful Ukraine will win".
He also said that he was talking to the husband of the injured woman. Elena has a complicated leg fracture, which means a complicated operation, implants and a long rehabilitation period.
“Either we win, or our women with broken legs will lie at their feet,” – Alexander Vilkul stressed.
We recall that the head of the Opposition Bloc, Igor Dyatlov, at the session of the city council raised the issue of the attack and demanded that the mayor and security forces not only find the attackers, but also take immediate measures to strengthen the protection of public order and especially to ensure the safety of the residents of Nikolayev on March 31.
In response to the appeal of Igor Dyatlov, Alexander Senkevich promised to hold a public meeting with law enforcement agencies, to coordinate actions and, in particular, to work out an action plan on election day.
