Taking care of children’s health, the doctors of Konstantinovka improve the material and technical base of medical institutions. They will make major repairs and reconstruction of the internal premises of the city maternity hospital for the funds of the State Fund for Regional Development.
The project cost is 43 million UAH. With this money, all the engineering networks of the old building will be changed; new operating equipment for the obstetrics and gynecology departments will be purchased. Also, an ultrasound system with Doppler sonography, an ECG recorder, a padded platform, as well as an artificial lung ventilation apparatus, an infant incubator and much more modern medical equipment will be purchased.
This year it is planned to use 20 million UAH. In addition, the winterization of the building will begin in the fall, by the money of the regional budget, allocated by order of the head of the Regional State Administration.
So the conditions for expectant mothers and their babies will be improved. Maybe it will increase the birth rate? According to data provided by doctors on August 17, only 344 children were born in Konstantinovka.
