The Donetsk Civil-Military Administration has not yet sent conclusions to the CEC about the organization of elections.

The Donetsk Civil-Military Administration appealed to the Central Electoral Commission with a request to postpone the fulfillment of requirements of the decree on the possibility of organizing the preparation and conduct of the election of the President of Ukraine on March 31, 2019 until January 15.

According to the CEC resolution of December 20, 2018, the Donetsk Regional State Administration was to send conclusions about the possibility of organizing the preparation and holding of the next presidential elections in Ukraine in the territories belonging to territorial constituencies within the relevant area no later than December 28, 2018.

Anastasia Prokopenko, the monitoring coordinator of the organization for elections in the Donetsk region, “OPORA”, addressed the Donetsk Regional State Administration with an information request for a response to the CEC Resolution No. 251 on the possibility of holding the presidential elections.

“The Donetsk Administration sent a letter to the CEC with the request to postpone the deadline for meeting the requirements of the decree to January 15, 2019,” – the report by the DonRSA said.

“In connection with the Joint Forces Operation in the Donetsk region, the provision of conclusions on the possibility of organizing the preparation and holding of the next presidential elections of Ukraine on March 31, 2019 in the territories that are part of the territorial electoral districts determined by the CEC resolution, will require a large amount of work with departure to the territory of certain districts,” – the letter of the Donetsk Regional State Administration to the CEC said.

“We hope that soon we will learn about the conclusions of the Administration about the possibility of organizing elections in the Donetsk region, and the corresponding conclusions will be objective and reasonable,” – Anastasia Prokopenko, the coordinator of public observation of OPORA of the elections in the Donetsk region, noted.
