It became known that “Zarya” can be excluded from the European competition due to debts to former football player Yevgeny Lozinsky.
The defender terminated the contract with the Lugansk club after the new coach, Yuri Vernidub, enter the team in 2012. During this period, he suffered a relapse of injury. In his opinion, this was due to improper treatment at the Lugansk club.
Then, “Zarya” owed Lozinsky about 230 thousand dollars. Then, 200 thousand dollars from this amount were paid. But the leadership of the team from Lugansk is not going to pay the remaining 30 thousand dollars.
Ilya Skoropashkin, the player's lawyer, commented on this issue on the television show “Velikiy Futbol” (transl. Great Football) on the Football 1 channel:
- It was a gross violation of the terms of the contract on the part of “Zarya”. They neglected the health of the football player and did not listen to the recommendations made by his personal doctor. Lozinsky was allegedly fired for receiving a disability that does not allow him to practice professionally in various kinds of sport.
It was absolutely factitious reason, which contradicts the laws of termination of the labor contract.
After the trial in Lausanne, “Zarya” was obliged to pay debts for the period worked and partial compensation for the termination of the contract for groundless reasons. The amount was 230 thousand. Yevgeny was paid less than two hundred. They had their own motives to keep part of the amount from the point of view of tax legislation. But that is not so, they had to pay the entire amount under tax laws. Now we can apply to UEFA and demand to remove the club from the European competition, because “Zarya” ignores the decision of the bodies of football justice.
We recall that “Zarya” failed to beat “Olympic” (0:0) in the last round of the UPL championship.
